Weighing only 64 pounds (29 kg), Risedale is easily moved when you need to adjust its position, or when you want to use it in a different spot in your home.

Risedale is a discreet seat-lift chair that looks like an attractive wing chair – not a lift chair. Only the seat cushion lifts on Risedale… the whole chair does not come off the ground and hover in the air as do most lift chairs. In fact, if you take the Power Lever off the Risedale, you’d never know it was anything but a beautiful piece of furniture!

We think a chair that offers a lift shouldn’t look like a medical device; it should be as nice as every other chair you’ve ever purchased. So when your guests see a stylish wing chair instead of a medical device… we’ve done our job!































Medicare

Medicare Coverage

In the United States, if you qualify for Medicare Part B coverage and meet certain medical criteria, you may be able to get a portion of the cost of your Risedale reimbursed under code E0627. The amount reimbursable is 80% of around $330 (amounts vary somewhat by state). In other words, if you qualify, you could receive about $265 from Medicare, towards the purchase price of the Risedale. Ask your home medical equipment provider or your doctor to help with Medicare procedures.

In Canada, Medicare does not cover seat-lift chairs. However, if you live in the province of Alberta and qualify for the Special Needs Assistance, you could receive up to $800 for the purchase of a lift chair. A doctor’s note must be provided explaining the medical condition that necessitates the use of a lift chair.

If you are a veteran, you may also receive support for the purchase of a lift chair if your doctor prescribes one.

Removable Levers

Discreet Simplicity

A simple push of the Risedale’s Power Lever will lift you up with ease. A simple pull to lower you. Nothing complicated. No control pad to slip off the arm of the chair; no dangling cords.

In fact, if you remove Risedale’s Power Levers, you’d never know it was a seat-lift chair!

Your Risedale comes with two Power Levers that can be used on both, left or right sides – you choose. They are easy to install and remove.







































Adjustable Legs

Custom Sophistication

For the convenience of users 5'1" or less, your Risedale chair comes with custom, height-adjustable legs that will lower the chair 1.5" as needed. The extensions are easily removed using the hex key that comes in the box.

Should you choose to purchase a matching ottoman for your Risedale, it will also come with custom, height-adjustable legs.

































Ottoman

Classy Companion

You may purchase the optional matching ottoman for your Risedale separately. It also comes with the custom, height-adjustable legs as your Risedale, so that you can adjust the height if you are 5'1" or under.

To adjust the legs, simply use the hex key that comes with your ottoman.
